In a recent news, the Tibetan Mastiff dog breed is considered the “World’s Most Expensive Dog“. The tag price is a whooping $500,000! A Chinese woman even paid roughly $600,000 just to own a Tibetan Mastiff dog breed.

The Tibetan Mastiff is a very ancient breed and type of domestic dog originating with nomadic cultures of Central Asia.


Samoyed – which costs around $3000 to $8000. Samoyed takes its name from the Samoyedic peoples of Siberia. An alternate name for the breed, especially in Europe, is Bjelkier.

Bulldog can costs around $2000 to $5000. It also known as British Bulldog or English Bulldog, is a breed of dog which traces its ancestry to England.

French Mastiff – The average price of a French Mastiff puppy is over $1,000. French Mastiff sometimes called the Bordeaux Bulldog is a relatively short, stocky mastiff.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – This breed of dog can costs around $800 to $3,500. It is considered one of the toy dog breeds. It is one of the most popular breeds in the United Kingdom and has become more popular in the United States over the last ten years.

Akita Inu – is a breed of large dog originating in Japan, named for Akita Prefecture, where it is thought to have originated. Akita Inu can costs around $1500 to $3500.

Chow Chow Breed – It has first originated from Mongolia about 4,000 years ago. The breed is one of the 14 ancient dogs that have existed in the past up to the present. Price is around $1300 to $3500.

It is hard to tell which animal species is the longest living animal in the world, especially if the animal is in the wild and has never been monitored. So to answer the question of which is the “Longest Living Animals in the World” is to base it from the list of animals in captivity.

A team of scientists ventured into a remote volcano in Papua New Guinea and discovered the bizarre, weird animals you can only find on Earth. The new species of weird animals include a rats as big as a cat, a fanged frog and grunting fish. Below are some of the photos of the new species found in the “Lost World.”

According to the latest report, the giant burrowing cockroach can become the world’s heaviest insect. Native to western NSW and north Queensland, Australia, the giant burrowing cockroach can reach 30 to 35g and more than 85mm in length.

Giant Walking Stick (Megaphasma dentricus) – The length of a female Giant Walking Stick on record was an amazing 21.8″ (55.5cm).

South American Longhorn Beetle (Titanus giganteus) – Has a body length over 6.5″ (16.7cms).

Elephant Beetle (Megasoma elephas) – The recorded length is 5.4″ (13.7cms).

1. Leafy seadragons are covered with leaf-like appendages, making them remarkably camouflaged. Found in Australia, they inhabit calm, cold water and have been protected by the government since 1982.

3. The Indian gharial is a critically endangered species and one of the longest of all living crocodilians, sometimes measuring over 20 feet.

4. Hairy frogfish walk along the seabed hunting for food. This rare creature can be found in Indonesia.

5. Living at extreme depths, and among the rarest of octupuses, the Dumbo octupus (Giant Octupus) gets its name from its ears which loosely resemble those of the Disney character, Dumbo.

6. A viperfish is a deepwater fish with long, needle-like teeth and hinged lower jaws. It is one of the fiercest predators in the very deep part of the sea and is believed to attack its prey by luring its victim with a light producing organ.

7. The shoebill is a very large bird found in tropical swamps of eastern Africa. It stands at an average of four feet with a wingspan of over seven feet. The species was only discovered by ornithologists in the 19th century.

8. The Axolotl is a Mexican neotenic mole salamander. The species originates from the lake underlying Mexico City. Axolotls are used extensively in scientific research due to their ability to regenerate most body parts.

9. The guineafowl puffer, from the Pacific Ocean. When fully expanded, it can reach 50 cm in length.

10. The frill-necked Lizard, so called because of the large ruff of skin around its neck, runs on its hind-legs when frightened. This behaviour has earnt it the name ‘bicycle lizard’ in Australia.

11. The long-beaked echidna was named among the top-ten “focal species” in 2007 by the Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered project. Echidnas are one of two types of mammals that lay eggs.

12. Although the tarsier was once more widespread, all the species living today are found on the islands of Southeast Asia, especially The Philippines. Each eyeball is approximately 16 mm in diameter and is as large as their entire brain.

13. Similiar to the komondor (a large Hungarian dog breed, has a long, thick, strikingly corded white coat), the Hungarian puli also has a coat of dreadlock-type cords. The breed rarely moults and is deceptively fast and acrobatic.

14. The most distinctive trait of the proboscis monkey is the male’s large protruding nose. It has been suggested that the female proboscis monkey prefers big-nosed males.

15. The Sun Bear is found primarily in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. At only four feet tall, it is the smallest member of the bear family, and it is often called the dog bear.

1. The star-nosed mole‘s snout has 22 fleshy tentacles that are used to identify food by touch. Often found in North America, it lives in wet lowland areas and eats small invertebrates, aquatic insects, worms and mollusks.


2. The Hispaniolan solenodon, a strange looking shrew-like creature with a long snout and specialised teeth capable of delivering venom. Only two solenodon species exist today, one in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and the other in Cuba.

3. Seapigs live on, or just underneath, the bottom of the ocean and feed on the mud of the seafloor. Scientists haven’t yet worked out how they are such a successful deep-sea creature.

4. The blobfish is a gelatinous mass with a density slightly less than that of the water it occupies. This helps it maintain buoyancy. Hovering just above the sea-floor, the blobfish gobbles edible matter that floats past it.

5. Discovered in 2005 in the South Pacific Ocean, this creature was dubbed the “yeti lobster” or “yeti crab“. It lives at a depth of 2,200 metres on hydrothermal vents along the Pacific-Antarctic.

6. The white turtle, whose creamy colour is offset by a few hints of pink, features prominently in Chinese culture – a character in Journey to the West is turned into one for his wrongdoings.

7. The long eared jerboa is a nocturnal mouse-like rodent found in the deserts of China and Mongolia. It has a long tail, long legs and extremely large ears. Being such a rare creature, it is in danger of extinction.

8. The aye-aye shares a lot in common with the woodpecker – it taps trees to find grubs. When food is located it uses its rodent-like teeth to gnaw a hole, then digs them out with its long middle finger.

9. The saiga‘s unusually over-sized, and flexible, nose warms up the air in winter and filters out the dust in summer.

10. With their unusual feeding habits and slime-producing capabilities, the hagfish has been dubbed the most “disgusting” of all sea creatures.

1. Red-Eyed Tree Frog – The tiny red-eyed tree frog uses its alarmingly red eyes and webbed orange paws to assert its presence against its predators and to appear highly venomous.


2. Small-Eared Shrew – Believed to be extinct soon after its first sighting, three small-eared shrews were recently rediscovered near the San Martín Tuxtla volcano in Mexico.

3. Togian White-Eye – Discovered in 1997, the Indonesian Togian white-eye is highly endangered and meets the World Conservation Union’s Red List of Threatened Species qualifications but has yet to be added to the list.

4. Hedgehog – The hedgehog received its name because of its unusual foraging habits. The prickly creature scavenges through hedges to find its food all the while grunting like a hog.

5. Tiny Mandarin Fish – These colorful, neon fish are one of the smallest ocean spawners and possess one of the most distinctive mating patterns. Every evening, twenty minutes after sunset, the tiny mandarin fish gather and release thousands of eggs into the ocean.

6. Kangaroo Rat – While not actually a rat but rather a relative of the gopher, the kangaroo rat currently faces extinction. A native of the United States, the kangaroo rat travels around by hopping like a kangaroo, hence its namesake.

7. Legless Lizard – Discovered in January 2008, the Brazilian legless lizard possesses a snake-like appearance and vestigial nubs in place of legs.

8. Mouse Lemur – Endemic to Madagascar, the teacup sized mouse lemur has remained an elusive inhabitant of the African island. It is the smallest primate in the world, standing at two and a half inches long.

9. Pika – The Pika, a miniature cousin of the rabbit, may be the first animal in the lower 48 states to be listed as an endangered species due to climate change. Pika are highly sensitive to variations in temperature and any exposure to temperatures great than 78 degrees can be lethal to the chinchilla-like creature.

10. Kihansi Spray Toad – The Kihansi spray toad is the tiniest creature in our lineup at three quarters of an inch long. Indigenous to Tanzania, 95 percent of this tiny toad’s habitat has been depleted by a nearby hydropower initiative, leaving the species only able to breed in captivity.
