He is called Oscar, the 31-year-old Spanish guy who recently had a successful full face transplant. Oscar has been described as a farmer who was unable to breathe or eat on his own after accidentally shooting himself in the face five years ago.

Today, the world’s first full face transplant patient has made his first public appearance.

If you have time to visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Houston Texas, visit the Lois the Corpse Flower. Finally, the stinky flower has opened and now ready for public viewing. Only 28 of these flowers have ever bloomed in the United States. Lois the Corpse Flower is one of the largest and rarest flowers in the world to bloom.

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers, including the “animal” fathers. The pictures below show the male animals taking care of their babies (at some point, the eggs). Let us give these male animals some love.

Seahorses are a type of fish in which the males actually get “pregnant.” The female seahorse deposits her eggs in the male’s specialized pouch, and the male carries up to 2,000 babies during its 10- to 25-day pregnancy.

Aside from the dinosaurs, were there other animals or beasts that were considered giants, in comparison to what they we have now? Yes there were. Based from fossils collected, there were beasts that existed that you probably haven’t heard about.

1. Fossils discovered in northeastern Colombia’s Cerrejon coal mine indicate the biggest snake ever was at least 42 feet (13 meters) long and weighed 2,500 pounds (1,135 kilograms).
