Just this week, the Guinness World Records crowned the new World’s Shortest Man in the person of Filipino Junrey Balawing. He took over the title from Nepalese Khagendra Thapa Magar. Balawing, 18 years old, measured 23.5 inches (60 centimeters). The previous record was 26.4 inches (67 centimeters).

As I am writing this, false prophet Harold Camping just failed to predict that the world will end on May 21, 2011. But this prediction of doomsday has been lingering for years and there were already so many people and groups who gave predictions but failed. He is called Oscar, the 31-year-old Spanish guy who recently had a successful full face transplant. Oscar has been described as a farmer who was unable to breathe or eat on his own after accidentally shooting himself in the face five years ago.
Today, the world’s first full face transplant patient has made his first public appearance.
