Just this week, the Guinness World Records crowned the new World’s Shortest Man in the person of Filipino Junrey Balawing. He took over the title from Nepalese Khagendra Thapa Magar. Balawing, 18 years old, measured 23.5 inches (60 centimeters). The previous record was 26.4 inches (67 centimeters).

Balawing stopped growing two months after his birth, his father said, adding that he first walked with help from his parents when he was 5 years old.
