So where is the biggest or largest castle in the world located? Is it in Europe? Or is the largest castle in North America? How would you know the total area of a castle? An article came up with an idea to compute the size using KML Area Calculator. The top 5 on the list are shown below. I added photos of the castles.

Malbork Castle in Poland – 143,591 square meters

Prague Castle in Czech Republic – 66,761 square meters

Burghausen Castle in Germany – 56,810 square meters

Windsor Castle in UK – 54,835 square meters

Festung Hohensalzburg or Salzburg Castle in Austria – 54,523 square meters
